Proper Pack LLC (“Proper Pack,” “we,” “us”) operates theproperpack.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the site you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you request free samples, ask for a quote, contact us, join a waitlist, or subscribe to our newsletter, we collect the details you enter in the form. Depending on the form this can include your name, email address, phone number, company name, shipping address, canning-line details, and any notes you add. If you place an order through our online store we also collect billing and shipping information. Payment card details are entered directly with our payment processor and are not stored on our servers.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we collect standard technical information when you visit: IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring page, and the date and time of your visit. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics sets cookies and may collect data as described in Google’s privacy policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Cookies. The site uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working (for example, remembering items in your cart), to measure site traffic, and to understand which pages are useful. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features of the site may not work without them.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to respond to your requests and ship samples; to prepare quotes and process orders; to answer questions and provide customer support; to send our newsletter and product updates if you have subscribed or asked us to keep in touch; to follow up on sample requests and quotes; to operate, secure, and improve the site; and to comply with legal obligations.
You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in any message we send, or by emailing us at the address below. We will still send transactional messages about orders, samples, and quotes you have requested.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the business, and only for the purposes above. These include our customer relationship management and email platform (HubSpot), which stores contact and communication records; our website host and email delivery services; Google Analytics for site measurement; our payment processor for store orders; and shipping carriers, who receive your name and address to deliver samples and orders. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or merger of the business.
Data retention
We keep contact and order records for as long as we have a business relationship with you and as needed afterward for accounting, legal, and warranty purposes. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics’ default retention settings.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, by emailing info@theproperpack.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws, and we will honor those requests as required.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and we limit access to personal information to the people and providers who need it to do their jobs. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Our site and products are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
Links to other sites
The site links to third-party sites such as YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Their privacy practices are their own, and this policy does not apply to them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
